PERMEABLE PAVERS FOR DRAINAGE SOLUTIONS SPOKANE
Permeable Landscape pavers have come on strong in recent years as another solution for storm and surface water drainage solutions in the Spokane area. Permeable pavers are an ecofriendly way to drain and filter stormwater. These work extremely well in complex drainge situations. For examlple a driveway that slopes down towards a garage. Picture an asphalt parking lot with all of the stormwater running into the swales around the lot taking up valuable parking. Those swales could be parking spaces. With permeable pavers the stormwater flows through the layered system.
Permeable pavers are installed with a layered base of drain rock underneath the pavers. This system filters the storm water and releases it back into the subsoil. The initial designs of the product have wider joints between pavers and smaller aggregate fills the gaps. Newer designs actually allow the water draining through the concrete paver itself.
